and a little plagiarism from portland food not bombs.
i don't think they mind.
I also headed up to Austin, TX to see Animal Collective (I also saw El-P) last Sunday. Animal Collective was great live (percussion and percussional vocals are a great combination). I hit up Monkeywrench Books and got some radical literature and stickers for my bike, including this gem:
(The other new one is "END THE OCCUPATION OF THE USA", of course.)
I stripped off the "Impeach Bush for War Crimes" and "Torture+Silence=Complicity" stickers because I really didn't like them. I also had to get rid of my "Benefits of Bicycling" one because it was not waterproof. My "90.1 FM KPFT - Radio for Peace" sticker is still present, however, despite the fact I do not use a radio when I bicycle.
I also got into a car accident. The fragile car is not okay, but I am, and so is my bike. The only times I use my car are to pick up panera bread for food not bombs houston anyways, so it's okay. I prefer the freedom of the Open road, and the road is far from Open when you drive.
I'm reading Walden and Other Writings now. Pick it up, used, preferably. Come to Food Not Bombs sometime too. The swapping of ideas, stories, plans, and food is all Free.
